CIRRUS

A light vest with i-cord cast on and I-cord bind off

with ribbing on shoulders and simple lace details in between

Named after cirrus clouds for its lightness

Cirrus is an open-front light vest with minimal but polished details. It features an i-cord on the upper back, similar to the detail that was first developed for Hikari tee. The longish vest widens slightly with 2 lines of yarn-over lace on each side and finishes with a sloped hem with simple lace and i-cord edge. Armhole finishing, matching the look of i-cord, is worked simultaneously while knitting the armholes.

Photo tutorials are included to explain how to pick up stitches from the i-cord, create the overlap detail on the v-neck on the back, as well as achieve a seamless look for the i-cord bind off.

Designed to feature the lightness and drape of Cardiff Cashmere Brushlight, a yarn with 82% cashmere and 18% silk, the vest is knitted in plain stitches besides ribbing on the upper shoulders.

Cirrus is created as a versatile, understated vest for effortless layering.

Cirrusis available in my pattern stores here and on Ravelry.
