The design is inspired by mountains, natural lines in landscape and contour lines of topographic maps that represent the three-dimensional landscape of a terrain within a two-dimensional space of a map.
Stylised in a geometric pattern, the linear design is knitted with vertical and diagonal slipped stitches across the fabric. The designs on the front and back are different. Either side can be worn as the front.
Charts for the linear design are made for individual sizes, and printed in an A4 pattern booklet for easy reference.
The tee is knitted flat from the bottom for the front and back pieces, then seamed on the sides and the shoulders. Seaming gives the tee structure and stability for the fabric which has a good drape.
The pattern is not available for individual purchase on my website. It was part of a kit which includes WAK’s Pima Cotton yarn.
The model in the image is wearing size M in the colour Copper.
To view more information about the pattern, see Terrain Tee on my Ravelry page.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
